Librarians
Welcome to the public friendly pages for and about the librarians of Open Clip Art Library. A librarian is a person who helps out with more than just uploading clipart. A librarian will often be checking to see if clipart follows the Open Clipart Guidelines, uploading old clipart that missed it in previous releases, cleaning up tag lists, changing clipart titles, changing descriptions if necessary, changing the visibility of violating clipart, bug-finding, bug-reporting, general bugginess, checking clipart background metadata, proofreading the information on the site, removing clipart comments that are not appropriate (i.e. attacking the author). The Librarians occasionally need coffee, but run well on a hamster wheel. No cliparts were harmed in the making of this page. Battery and assault not included.
If you would like to become a librarian (available to registered users only) you will need to ask an Ocal admin to make you a librarian. All we really need is to have a conversation with you to find out where you will best fit, and what you want to do. You can use the mailing list, or ask an OCAL admin (existing librarian or developer). IRC is also a good place to find us : #openclipart on freenode.
(If worst comes to worst, and you are unable to contact anyone, or nothing has happened after a week from first contact, send chovynz an email at google mail.)
