After going nuts looking for some icons to represent these group activities, I decided to make some. These are using a stylised petal shape but the principle can be adapted into another shape. One of the 'debate' versions initially looked like two people having a punch up being egged on by the crowd. Filled in shapes indicate full participation, hollow ones are passive, half-half are contributing to the activity.

The Israeli government had passed the biometric database bill that says that in two years time (end of 2013), all the citizens of Israel will be FORCED to give their fingerprints and be photographed. This information would be entered to a database. In addition, every citizen will get a new smart ID card that will be used to identify civilians for different purposes.
This database can be used to improve the citizen-government connection but it can also be breached and make us targets of framing; criminals can impersonate us and this would be a violation of civil rights and privacy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKvAcIo0z3A
An older Israeli civilians' database was stolen in 2006 and was published on different websites around the world. It contained 9,000,000 records of Israelis. This database was and is used by privet companies and other individuals to prey on people and was used by orthodox Jews (allegedly and ironically) to steal money from the Israeli state.

We are opposed to the biometric database not to the smart ID card.

So a bunch of people are still saying the world will end some time this year (2012) because the Aztec Calendar ends this year. Silly. The world doesnt end every year in December when the Western Calender ends, right? This is an Aztec calendar from 100s of years ago, I doubt they copyrighted their design, but even if they did it would be expired by now. So which part of this calender says "Doomsday! Armageddon!"?

Louis-Victor Pierre Raymond de Broglie, 7. duc de Broglie, (August 15, 1892 - March 19, 1987) was a French physicist and a Nobel laureate in the year 1929 who created a new field in physics, the wave mechanics. In his later career, de Broglie worked to develop a causal explanation of wave mechanics, in opposition to the wholly probabilistic models which dominate quantum mechanical theory. The svg-file based on photo from wikicommon. Author is unknown.

These are NOT official warning infographics, but I felt inspired to help people who want to post warnings in Japanese and either don't know how to make signs or don't understand Japanese. Clockwise from top left: STOP, DANGEROUS, TOXIC, DO NOT ENTER (if you followed the clockwise direction the last icon you read should be the lower left hand side.) These are warnings written in Japanese, I hope you find them useful.

This was quite a quick little sketch some staff artist in Los Angeles scratched out real quick for page 40, way back in 1907. I wonder how many people actually noticed the image then?
A farmer looks down on a pumpkin that is a head. This odd cartoon was from a political cartoon from 1897. Some drab politics of the day that is lost on most modern people I suppose. But no one can argue with the timelessness of a melting pumpkinhead and a farmer with a pitchfork. Beautiful!

7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio and 7-Zip is open source software that supports (reads and writes) many poplar archive formats (zip, rar, 7zip, iso). The current recommended version is 7-Zip 9.22 beta.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/forums/forum/45797/topic/4492007
7-Zip began in 1999 and is actively developed by Igor Pavlov.

Unfortunately, the icons that come with the installation file are old looking. Good People came up with a method of changing them after installing 7zip. I found that this method works like a charm:
http://thatnetsite.com/2010/06/replacement-icons-for-7-zip-ver3/
I made a batch of svg files and turned them into ICO files (I used IcoFX - The Free Icon Editor to convert the PNG to ICO). Enjoy the SVG.
