Public Domain Issue: Apple products and their names are heavily copyrighted, trademarked, etc. I am not sure that you have the rights to place such image in Public Domain. How to avoid copyright issues:
  • Change name of the image; from "iPhone", for example, to "Smartphone" or "Palmtop"
  • Make sure that the pictured device _and_ the icons are simplified or modified enough :(
  • Remove the text "iPod" from the image (change it to "Music" or something); I'm not sure about the iPod icon.

Also, the Guidelines say to convert any text to paths. You can do this in Inkscape by selecting the text (or even selecting all with Ctrl+A) and pressing Ctrl+Shift+C.
