Temperature homeostasis in higher mammals is like scales with shivering and pallor in the cold dish; while in the hot dish is vasodilation erythema (blush) and diaphoresis (sweat). The pivot revolves around the hypothalamus as processor or integration between temperature receptor and effector muscles.
