Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (February 19, 1627 – April 3, 1680)



One of the most respected leader and King from India, an able administrator and founder of maratha empire he ruled the Deccan region, parts of central India and parts of modern day Pakistan with a firm hand. The Mughal empire started facing a decline during his rule.
