Empress Teimei

This was how Empress Teimei (Mommy of the Showa emperor) of Japan was depicted in a Western newspaper (super old one and thus public domain, cleaned up and synthesized by me) on the occasion of her coronation. Somehow I don't think they danced in front of a Buddha statue, but I guess I don't know that for sure!
