Thank you, Dr. Heimlich

Well, it happened today. While eating lunch at a Chinese restaurant, a piece of carrot got stuck in my throat. I tried to cough it out unsuccessfully. After that I could no longer cough or even breathe. I made the universal sign I was choking. Immediately, two waitresses appeared, one pulled me out of the booth, the other did the Heimlich maneuver. The carrot came out to my mouth and I was able to take it out. I thanked the one who did the maneuver, and everyone in the restaurant clapped their hands.



Of course, none of this would happen if Dr. Heimlich did not come up with that life-saving maneuver. So, in addition to the waitresses, I thank him as well.
