“Michael Maestlin (also Mästlin, Möstlin, or Moestlin) (30 September 1550, Göppingen – 20 October 1631, Tübingen) was a German astronomer and mathematician, known for being the mentor of Johannes Kepler.”

Also, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio describes this image thus: “Michael Maestlin, first to publish a decimal approximation of the golden ratio, in 1597”
The graphic itself shows his name as Michael Mœstlinus, Latin for the German Michael Möstlin, hence the title.
