Ainu Man and Bear

Bears are very important to the culture of the Ainu (the indigenous people of Northern Japan) ... They have many fascinating cultural celebrations in relation to them. One includes raising a baby bear in the house like a child, and then when it grows up sacrificing it to release it's spirit.
