The Hue Wheel

While this is commonly referred to as the “color wheel,” this really is the hue wheel, as it is based on the HSV/HSL/HSB color models. Each of them starts with the letter H, the first letter of hue.



Unlike the classical color wheels, this modern wheel only shows various hues with no regard for their saturation and value (or lightness/brightness). It is, therefore, more appropriate to call it the hue wheel.
