Time Capsule

I've always been fascinated by time capsules. I wonder if because we are creating more digital records, maybe time capsules are becoming less relevant in the future. It is hard to imagine life in the 1850s for example. But if you can watch videos and read blogs etc from a billion people in that time period, will you really be that curious to open a time capsule from them? I'm not sure. But still, I think time capsules are cool...
