Following the lead of @Manuela in terms of more efficient code, I've basically copied @Manuela's code and plugged in some different color codes. I have no idea of how to code a .svg file. I'm even having a problem figuring out what color codes I need to use, although I'm more familiar with those. This chess board is a green and bisque board. For this board I chose the color "bisque" by sight rather than by the name of the color.
