Pandora seems to be a favorite of artists who like women in long flowy robes and boxes. from what i can gather, pandora was a child or innocent (not specifically a girl) and the box was a jar. it was all part of some revenge plot or something. The story is that the ills of the world were let loose and what remained in the box (jar) was (false) hope. so i wonder if the red and blue pandoras hope for the same things ? they are facing left and right just like the red and blue here in the us.

if you think it was false hope there is laura marling's take on it in 'false hope'. for a different view in a different form Eve Human 'when hope came - a time travel story' is free on smashwords and is a wonderful story that rang true as the main character worked in NYC in the financial district (as i did).
