Suzanne Vega

So between joni mitchell and laurie anderson and the 'new to me' set of artists that i listen to, there was suzanne vega. she had a bunch of good songs back in the day, sang a couple of songs on deadicated ('cassidy' and 'china doll', for you deadheads out there..). 'luka' and 'the soldier and the queen' are haunting... 'toms diner' is fun... but who did she 'look up' to ?....
