interference patterns happen when the centers of gradients are at different points, otherwise the three colors blend into white, as you can see. the two main sets of buttons move the centers of the three gradients, while the center buttons change the radius for all three. the outer circle is made of 'scales' which are designed to be able to bend, to 'make a snake'. using reflect vs repeat also changes the pattern. there is a javascript program tbd for this....
