Charlie Kirk (born October 14, 1993) is an American conservative political activist, author, and media personality best known as the founder and president of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), a nonprofit organization launched in 2012 when he was 18 years old with the mission of promoting conservative principles—free markets, limited government, and individual liberty—on high school and college campuses across the United States. A prolific speaker and debater, Kirk quickly rose to national prominence through campus speaking tours, frequent appearances on Fox News, and hosting "The Charlie Kirk Show," a daily radio program and podcast that regularly ranks among the top conservative media outlets. He played a significant role in mobilizing young voters for Donald Trump’s 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, co-founded the student wing of the Tea Party movement, and later helped organize the "Students for Trump" coalition. Often polarizing, Kirk is celebrated by supporters as a leading voice for Gen-Z conservatism and criticized by detractors for his sharp rhetoric on culture-war issues, immigration, election integrity, and campus free speech. By the mid-2020s, Turning Point USA had grown into one of the largest and most influential conservative youth organizations in the country under his leadership.
