As global temperatures increase more water evaporates into the atmosphere and stays there, and rainfall becomes less predictable causing increased droughts and flooding. Farming animals increases demand for water (compared to farming plants) increasing droughts, crop failures and animal deaths (see Lifestock's Long Shadow report).
