Charles Drew

If you don't know, you should! Charles Drew was an American physician, surgeon, and medical researcher, etc etc. He studied about blood transfusions and things like that... he used that knowledge to develop huge blood banks early in World War II. This allowed docs to save tons of lives. He is one of the most famous African-Americans in that industry. Now you know! (This is based off a NARA image, thus public domain!)
