Tigers are symbolically important in Korea because the Korean peninsula is thought to resemble a tiger! This is an anonymous folk artwork image (manipulated by me a bit) from the Joseon Period, which puts it way into the public domain in terms of age. Digitally preserved here as clipart! This is the black and white version.
