Dotted Gradient (Noise Border)

An experiment to recreate dotted gradients/shadows, instead of solid gradients/shadows, using Gaussian blurs and noise fill overlays in Inkscape.

Please tag me if you have similar experiments :)

Ideally, the colour shouldn't fade off at the ends (the dots should have full colour), but the Gaussian blur is causing that. Additionally, the 'dots' themselves don't fade away--I have them on a solid background, and I'm fading the entire object to achieve the desired effect.
