So how do you make an image of a spirit? there is a place for abstract i suppose when dealing with the ephemeral. the courage that brigid represents is less about spears and more about standing up for yourself or what is right when the world seems against you. '"what will people say" has killed more dreams than anything else in the world' says a graffiti i took a picture of.

the brigid spirit is in lots of art (she is a patron of course); neil gaiman's book 'neverwhere' has a test of courage (and a bull and a woman with a spear...) and laura marling's 'wild fire' has the line 'its hard if you cant change it, its worse if you dont try'. The world may look unchangeable but there are cracks...
