Magic

so this is 'brigid at war' but it really its a paraphrase of arthur c clarke: 'any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic'. but also 'clever use of existing technology'. she teaches people how to weave (crosses, ropes, and stories) and maybe how to use them in clever ways. i dont know if the horse will trip but im pretty sure the guy isnt wearing a seat belt or a helmet...

brigid to me is a bodhisattva, while circe is maybe becoming one...

anyway, steely dan has a song 'bodhisattva' and i have a bunch of sayings:

the law of the fishes: 'the big ones eat the little ones'. and 'might makes right'. but then 'the crafty can outwit the unwary' and 'the bigger they come the harder they fall' :-)
