so the thing in the sky is called an analemma and is related to 'the equation of time' and how many 'hours of daylight' you get at different latitudes depending on the season. i'd love to tell you that i had programmed this all in there and the latitude settings ?+ or ?- actually now work. not so much. you are stuck in the northern hemisphere - for now - but i'll poke at it and any of you can take up the challenge - see below. as before there is a 'real' timer and tardis controls for going faster or backwards (try ?*** or ?///). and you can put in a date (#dec+12+2003 or anything that Date.parse can read....)
'anathem' by neal stephenson is where i got into this. it was 'ancient knowledge' - shamen and shawomen knew about it...
so the 'music of the spheres' takes 365 days. vivaldi's 'four seasons' takes 65-75 minutes. the byrds 'turn!, turn!, turn!' takes 4 minutes. are we are becoming more 'short attention span' ? :-) btw 'this song is adapted entirely (except for the last line) from Qoheleth, also called the Book of Ecclesiastes. It was put to music by Pete Seeger in 1959. The song became a worldwide hit in 1965 when it was covered by The Byrds. ' - google
updates to these will be posted to the 'software' folder as they (and the software) gets better. one hopes :-)

so the challenge - remix or remake this with the correct analemma for 7 latitudes (equator,+-20,40,60 deg.) using: mtirado.com/blog/demystifying-the-analemma/, maths.ucd.ie/~plynch/Publications/Analemma-BIMS.pdf, and/or www.math.purdue.edu/~zhan4740/poster_final.pdf. i gave it whirl but too many bugs....
