Poor man's friend

Came across this advertisement, and whilst the uses for such a drawing will be niche, I thought I'd post it anyway if only because the stuff sounds intriguing. Apparently it was on sale for 180 years. From 'Guide to Bridport, West Bay, and neighbourhood', John Rowson, 1898.
