Asteroid 2020 VT4 Near Earth

by rpm - uploaded on November 25, 2020, 8:16 pm

Asteroid 2020 VT4 sped right past Earth on Friday November 13th, (!) 2020, at about 250 miles up, which is about the same altitude as the International Space Station, although they were not anywhere near each other when the asteroid showed up. No one saw this asteroid coming. It was only noticed as it receded from the vicinity of Earth, about 15 hours after closest approach. Thanks to @marcodiego for most of the image, which I've turned around and to @j4p4n for the small International Space Station that I plugged in there.
